GEORGINA PAY SCHOOL OF DANCE

TERMS & CONDITIONS 2024 TO 2025

GPSD GENERAL TERMS & CONDTIONS 2024-2025

1. JOINING GPSD – REGISTRATION – An account is to be created by a parent or guardian via the DSP Parent Portal.

2. PAYMENT – Fees are payable monthly on or by the 1st of each month.

3. GIVING NOTICE AT GPSD – There is a 4 week notice period which is required should you wish to withdraw your child from the school. These 4 weeks will still be chargeable. However, if you have already paid for fees that extend beyond this 4-week period then any additional amount paid after this 4 week notice period, will be refunded to you via bank transfer, stripe or Paypal, depending on how you paid for classes.

4. CANCELLATION OF CLASS BY GPSD – If at any time we cancel a class then, in the first instance, an additional class to make up the one missed will be offered. If you cannot attend a class to make up the one missed during that term, a credit will be added onto your parent portal. If you would prefer a direct refund, please inform us within 3 days of the cancelled class and provide the bank details to which the refund should be made. If your child leaves GPSD, any credits on your portal will then be directly transferred to you. This only applies to credits that were added for cancelled classes. If you have credits that were discretionary (as explained below), or because of winning a competition for example, these will be removed upon you leaving and are not to be refunded.

5. NON-ATTENDANCE & REFUNDS – Should your child miss a class and the class is still being run by GPSD, no refund will be issued. Classes are paid upfront monthly, and these are non-refundable unless in line with our cancellation policy or in exceptional circumstances where GPSD may, at its own discretion, issue a refund or credit to your portal if we feel there is a case of exceptional circumstance. If a discretionary refund is offered due to exceptional circumstances, this will be added onto your portal to use against future services provided by GPSD. We may, in some cases offer a direct refund, but this is at our discretion and not guaranteed. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic we have to prepare for every eventuality. If in the case of a lockdown, local or otherwise, we will switch to live online classes for that period of time. No refunds will be given. Online classes may also be utilised for other reasons, including but not limited to, severe weather that makes travel unsafe.

6. LATE PAYMENT OF FEES – All GPSD fees are due by standing order by or on the 1st of the month as outlined in your personalised class details that are emailed to you. If payment is not received by 10am on the 1st, you will receive an email from us requesting payment within 24 hours. Failure to then make payment within the 24 hours will result in an initial administration fee of £5 being added to your account. Failure to pay by the 3rd of each month will accumulate a charge of 10% of your total balance due being added as a late fee and failure to pay beyond this timeframe could lead to your child no longer being able to attend classes. Please understand that it is important that fees are paid on time. We have bills, staff and running costs that need paying on time and therefore will enforce late fees as stated. We highly recommend setting up a standing order as this is simple to do and then runs automatically.

If you are struggling to make payments, then please do get in touch and we will try to arrange a payment plan or delayed payment of fees for you – this is at our discretion and is not guaranteed.

7. FEE DISCOUNTS – There will be a discount of 5% off the total cost of class fees for those students attending 9 or more hours of training each week (Private coaching is excluded from this discount)

8. ATTENDING OTHER SCHOOLS – We pride ourselves in offering a wide range of classes at our premises, CMG Arts and work collaboratively with Cassana Performance Academy to broaden the timetable further and we therefore reserve the right to refuse training to anyone attending another performing arts school if we feel it is in direct conflict or for any reason we see fit.

9. CMG ARTS TEAM – In 2023 CMG Arts launched a performance team which invites students from GPSD & CPA to be part of. To be considered for the team your child must be attending classes with both schools to be considered for the next season which begins during the second half of the summer term each academic year.

Students interested in the team cannot attend classes with other schools.

10. PHOTOGRAPHY – Photographs and videos may be taken during classes, shows, workshops rehearsals and during any other CPA activity for the purpose of advertising the school’s classes. Photos and videos may be used on Social media, as well as on the CPA website, however no child will be named with their photo or video unless the use of their first name has been agreed separately with parents, for example, to show a special achievement. Photography will also be used widely on external advertising, including flyers posters and other physical marketing materials. Photos and videos may also be shared on physical and digital advertising for CMG Arts Ltd as well, including their social media. If you choose to opt out, your child’s face will not be included in photos that are published publicly. If there is a photo or video where your child has their back to the camera and they aren’t therefore identifiable, we may ask to still use these. If there is a photo that your child is in that we wish to use, their face will be blurred or covered accordingly.

If you wish to OPT OUT of photography and videography, this must be put into writing to
